OK, so I’m going to be all philosophical here regarding this photo challenge.
It may be just that the older I get, the less attached I am to physical things. Either that, or it could just be seeing my 3 year old easily break things, not usually on purpose, just out of curiosity. ‘What is this Dada?’ as he bends and snaps a CD. Or draws on a very expensive Oriental rug. Or jumps on the couch so high that he almost knocks off the oil painting on the wall. It’s not that I don’t care about these things, I think I just care a little bit less now.
Outside of physical things, there’s not a great deal of privacy with a 3 year old. He can easily climb up to my highest bureau drawer, or barge right in when I’m in the bathroom. All of which makes me wonder, what really is mine ? Is anything mine anymore ?
Just my wife and son, and what else is there ?

This is a beautiful post and I had to come back and say so… Somehow I didn’t comment on it last week.
Thanks again, and thanks for the return visit!
Don’t know what to say other than I really love this post.
Thanks! I used to be a hard working database marketing guru, now I’m a big softee
The concept of “mine” definitely changes as you grow up (and old). I try not to use that word too much at home because I constantly hear my kids yelling it. You don’t because you only have one kid! It’s exhausting. The only thing I consider mine only at home is my tea mug. Nobody is allowed to touch it!

Since he’s the only kid in the house, he just thinks that everything is either his, or that it can be easily reached with the use of a big enough chair to climb on.
