A few months or so ago, in a burst of creativity, Mr. C and I made a robot outfit. Using an empty wine box and some construction paper, and lots of tape.
I wasn’t sure how popular this would be. Would it be discarded in a few minutes ? Not used at all ? Let’s just say that it has a lot more tape holding it all together now than it did a few months ago. A very popular toy, and very inexpensive. This makes this frugal dad happy.
‘Press one of my buttons!’
‘That’s my singing button!’
‘That’s my jumping button!’
‘That’s my spinning around in circles button!’
A world of difference between a robot and a free spirit, this one is closer to the free spirit than a robot.
When he’s playing robot, sometimes he puts a spaghetti strainer on his head too.

With time you’d keep up… But kids are delightful anyway!
3 years late, and I’m close to 40 pounds lighter! So it’s been much easier keeping up with him now than it was when he was first born, but I definitely feel my age getting the best of me some days.
if only we held on to imagination like that
The more time I spend with him, the more the imagination comes back. He usually comes up with more creative things than i do, but I’m sure that I’m thinking in different ways than I did pre-baby.
Young kids always have a free spirit. They have no inhibitions whatsoever. Oh if only we adults could capture that again!!!!
Lovely photograph.
Thanks for popping by my post for this week’s challenge.

I should also add into the post that the reason why it’s a little blurry is because he moves so fast, it’s hard to get a good shot when he’s playing with that box!
