Taken while visiting the Bosque De La Apache Wildlife refuge in New Mexico during a Christmas family vacation, two years ago. It’s a major rest stop for migrating birds, with groups from more than 375 separate species visiting each year. You can also find one of the best burgers in the country just outside the park!
I have no idea how I took the photo, it was December so I do remember my hands being freezing cold, which must explain the lack of focus.
